Well today is not bad considering how bad I know the weather can get and has been. It rained and stormed last night...and all day yesterday. Partly sunny today with light clouds.
I have errands to run most of the day and paper work to get filed and finished....so maybe tonight I can work on my lessons in sculpting. I hope so because you know....that is what I'd rather be doing.

Time for bed
Rainy Seldovia Day
Today we are experiencing a heavy downpour... sometimes rain just feels so right. I have not been able to sculpt today but last night I finished up some work on the Marilyn Radzadt workshop I am taking....there are some details I need to adjust...like the eyes are uneven and the nose my be a little too big.....but here it is.....
Still a lot to do but it is a "work in progress"

Tuesday
Just when you think you have your day planned. ..... something up and happens that changes your whole day.
But tomorrow is looking to be another glorious day and will be able to sculpt ..at least for the afternoon.
The weather here in Seldovia, Alaska is starting to really look like fall, the birch trees are changing colors and the plants in the garden are just about on their last blooms and looking a little ragged and spent. So comes the quiet time of year....the settling in time....well for me at least.
For my family it is snow boarding, snow machine riding, skiing...oh yikes...I just like to sit in doors and watch the snow fall...I love all the little flakes swirling around in the wind....I put my Christmas music on and just have a great time...
But for now it is time to put the garden to bed....put away the gardening tools....plant the last of the bulbs and bring in the begonias....and get ready for spring!.....the seed catalogs will be coming out in a few months....yaaaaaaaaa

Time to rest
All that glitters is probably glitter
I am going to put glitter on to this fairy and hope to make the necklace look like gold rings around the neck...I hope it works...
Here she is with the gold glitter on her...I touched up a few other things and also put this glitter on to the wings I am going to use on her just to keep the color tied in..Here are two photos of right after I put the glitter on. ....I am waiting for the glue to dry before I brush off the excess....

Fairy Warrior Work in Progress
Hi, I am back. It has been awhile since I have had time to sculpt but sculpting I am.....it feels good to have my hands back in the clay. Here is the Fairy Warrior that I have been working on forever. I am almost ready to put her on ebay....just some added touches.
I always learn so much from each of my small sculptures...This one has really tested my patience. I have had to redo her head twice...finally I am satisfied with how it has turned out. I will post photos when I have finished her totally.
